Prosilio
Prosilio is located at a distance of only 48 km. from the city of Ioannina and administratively belongs to the municipality of North Tzoumerka in Epirus. The village is built at the edge of Peristeri Mount (Lakmos) and at a distance of 7 km. from Syrrako, 13 km. from Kalarrytes and 20 km. from Pramanta. The village was renamed to Prosilio in 1928, preserved the name "Halasmata" for one year, from 1927 until 1928, while its first name slavic origin and was preserved until 1927 was Dovisdiana. The habitants of the village occupy with agriculture and livestock, while it was the village of many workers of stone. Today the village has about 220 habitants but the permanent habitants are less than this number. The village has preserved its traditional architecture and is an excellent example of a traditional village of Tzoumerka in Epirus. It is built by stone and combines the traditional architecture and the wild natural beauty of Tzoumerka, which offer to every visitor an unforgettable experience of vacation and relaxation.
